Trip to Diglipur

Diglipur is the largest town of North Andaman Island. It is crossed by Kalpong River, the only river of the Andaman Islands. The island has become a traveller’s paradise due to its vicinity to Saddle Peak, the highest point of the Andaman archipelago and the Ross and Smith Islands which are connected by a natural white sandbar.

To visit Diglipur island, you need to commit at least 3 days of your tour. It will take you approximately one day to reach the island by road through the Andaman Grand Trunk Road. The next day, we take you to Arial Bay Jetty where you will board a boat and travel for 25 minutes to reach the sandbar between Ross and Smith Island. On disembarking, get ready to experience the true heaven on earth. On one side, you will see the natural crystal clear swimming pool and on the other, a snorkelling lagoon. Dive into the water and relax your body till the evening. Later, hop back onto the boat and return to the jetty. Overnight stay at Diglipur. Next day, we trek till Saddle peak where a breathtaking view awaits us after which we drive back to Port Blair via the same route.
